Individual Therapy
People seek therapy for many reasons.
Some feel stressed by being unable to share who they are and be authentic. Others are looking for approval, rather than how to fix personal issues within themselves that others do not place upon them.
For some, the highest values are authenticity, a desire to grow and develop, and a commitment to living a happy and fulfilling life.
People also seek only a smoother day-to-day, even when a change could immensely increase happiness. Their lives would be fulfilling, and they would feel a lack of emotions that consistently make them feel negatively about themselves or their lives.
Some clients have had immense trauma. Others seek help as a nonjudgmental, open-minded sounding board to hear what they have to say without embarrassment or shame.
Individual therapy promotes change.
Moving forward and actually making the change is scarier than the change itself. Talking yourself out of making a change might help you live your life according to others’ expectations rather than being authentic and living the life you want.
That change may not be the life that you feel society has prescribed for you, but instead a life that allows you to fulfill and follow your happiness.
I have worked with people from all walks of life, including people with different religions, political views, sexualities, genders, and lifestyle backgrounds. Each has brought specific needs that they wanted to address.
Whatever dissatisfaction or issue you want to address, individual therapy offers a chance to explore these issues and find a resolution. Contact me today to learn more about my approach to individual therapy.
